Last week the team had to carry out some important crew transfers. The first one was from the RRS James Cook, she had come from the mid-Atlantic and required 6 crew and luggage to be taken off. Also some important samples from the depths. The weather was ideal for this and easy for the James Cook crew to lower the luggage down by crane. It was a short hop to SAMS. Great to welcome back some familiar faces after an adventure.
Then another run came in. This time it was out to a cable installation vessel called the ‘Normand Clipper’ on Saturday night. The crewman required an urgent run back to the mainland. Struan nipped out at midnight to assist with the transfer.
