Lismore Ferry

During the winter the boys spent a few weeks in Port Appin, while the ferry was away for some scheduled maintenance and upgrades. They were covering the ferry route between the NE tip of Lismore and the mainland. A short crossing that runs pretty much every hour from 0700 to 2000 seven days a week. All sorts of cargo was taken across from a wee digger breaker unit to a Christmas tree. The ferry crewmen, locals and Pier House staff were all very welcoming and accommodating to the team, much appreciated. Although it is a short crossing the boys experienced every condition, high tides, very low tides, glass calm ,fresh, very fresh, snow, blue skies and tide vs wind. They managed to complete every run. The team enjoyed getting to know the community.
